Holographic Pedicure: Maybelline Color Show in 25 Mystic Green and Nails Inc. Special Effects in 162 Cheyne Walk

Holographic Nail Polish - Maybelline Color Show in 25 Mystic Green and Nails Inc. Special Effects in 162 Cheyne Walk
I love holographic nail polishes!

In fact, I'm addicted to the gorgeous shimmery, wild colors. I just can't get enough!

And last night, after months of neglect, I finally gave myself a pedicure! It was a long overdue, necessary feel-good act I need to do more often.

Who says purple and green don't mix??

I'm very fond of the simple stripe down the middle. It's quick and super easy to do, and adds a little extra flair that gets a lot of attention.

When it comes to New Year celebrations, I'm all about bright, glittery, crazy nails. I want them to sparkle like disco balls!

Here is my inspiration this year:

Birthday Nails: Purple Magnetic Polish

Check out the awesome nail polish I'm wearing for my birthday this year! (I turn 28 on Dec. 20)

It's Nails Inc. Magnetic Polish in 042 houses of parliament. I love, love, love the wavy look it leaves on my nails! Very cool!

magnetic nail polish and finger tattoos

I got this stuff on clearance at Sephora for $4 (originally $16)! Amazing, right?

I don't have any birthday plans, other than working on this blog, and my music, but intend to go out for a few drinks with the guys within the next few days (since I won't be in town to party with them).

Have you tried the Nails Inc. Magnetic Polish? What do you think?

Nails And New Tattoos!

Check out my new tattoos! I got them done yesterday, as well as another rose and some vines on my neck.

These tiny tattoos are special to me because I'm married to my music. My art is my life.

I don't think these hurt much at all. Possibly the least painful tattoos I've gotten so far.

Before my appointment, I brushed on my new Nails Inc Special Effects glitter nail polish in 431 sloane square over top my previous Maybelline Color Show in 370 Shocking Seas to create this beautiful sparkling glacial blue you see here.

Do you have you fingers tattooed?

Sunday Sephora Haul!

Today I picked up a bunch of goodies at Sephora, and for a great price!

What I bought:
Kat Von D Sinner eau de parfum rollerball (sale $5, originally $18)
Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Concealer in light 18 - for Gary ($25)

My early birthday gift:

Some of these products are things I already use, and others I'm trying for the first time. I can't wait to test and review the new ones! I'm most excited about the Mist & Fix (still looking for that perfect makeup setting spray for winter) and Benefit highlighter.

I'm thrilled about this haul because it only cost me $65.97 before tax- I saved $30.53 (that's 32%!) and got 2 free minis. Go me!

Have you bought any new beauty products lately?

Review: Nails Inc. London Special Effects Polish

*This post contains affiliate links.*

I very recently purchased Nails Inc. London Special Effects polish in cheyne walk at Sephora, on clearance for $1.99.

It is a gorgeous, fast-drying metallic purple I can't stop staring at. ("Ooooooohhhh.....")

While it is beautiful, it is already chipping after one day of wear, and without any strenuous activity... This is definitely not something I would pay the original price of $9.50 for. Hell no.

Maybelline Color Show is less than half the price and stays put a LOT longer.

Have you tried any Nails Inc. polishes, this color or otherwise? What do you think?

Frugal Life: New Beauty Loot!

*This post contains affiliate links.*

I just got back from Sephora, with some cool new goodies!

My purpose of going was to pick up more Smashbox Photo Finish foundation primer ($36), but then I saw Nails Inc. Special Effects nail polish in cheyne walk on clearance for $2, and I got a free trial size of Urban Decay Anti-Aging Eyeshadow Primer Potion!

That's how I roll, yo.

I have not yet tried the nail polish or the eye primer, but I've heard many good things, and can't wait to test them out!

The Smashbox foundation primer is one of those tried-and-true items I just can't live without. It smooths my skin and makes my makeup stay put all day long. And it's super lightweight! Worth every damn penny, I tell you.

Some of you may want to argue this post not worthy of  the frugal life tag, because I just spent thirty-six fucking dollars on foundation primer. Eat shit, okay? I saved $7.51 on the nail polish, and got the eye primer FREE. The price of pro quality doesn't get much better than this.

Have you tried any of these products? What do you think of them?
