Diary: More Than Originally Planned

When I first started this blog, I had no idea what I'd accomplish in a matter of months... No clue whatsoever.

While I had dreamed of so many samples I'd never have to buy a single beauty product again, ever, I never really considered it a plausible reality. I originally thought, at most, this blog would be yet another means for me to save money on things that I would otherwise have to buy, and still show off my personal style, and maybe -just maybe- my personal stories could help someone along the way.

I wasn't aware that brands would actually like me... *head explodes*

What I'm wearing (note: contains affiliate links):
Smashbox Photo Finish foundation primer - Rimmel London Stay Matte liquid mousse foundation
Urban Decay Anti-Aging Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Urban Decay eyeshadow in Rockstar
Sephora eyeshadow in peach beige N*13 - Sephora MicroSmooth face powder
Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant mascara - Kat Von D Lock 'N Load makeup setting mist
REALLY?? I'm LIKED???

I drink, I cuss, I am the most anti-fashion fashion blogger I know.... And you like me.

I must be doing something right.

I am truly humbled by the amount of sample products I receive. It always feels amazing to get something for free, especially something that makes you feel beautiful. Free beauty swag is one of those things that every girl should experience at least once in her life. It feels empowering in a way, and like you matter, you're special, and beautiful.

You don't have to be a Prada-wearing, latte-carrying clone like everyone else. Just be yourself.

And having already easily surpassed the initial goals I had for this blog, it's time I set the bar a little higher. I'm going to get a little more personal here- the things I write are the things I can't always say out loud, as I typically try to keep my opinions to myself, and they are often the very life lessons that many people do not want to hear. Few things sting as hard as truth.

But, judging by my website statistics, people seem to like the harsh realities I share.

It's true you won't make a lot of friends being brutally honest. But I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I am not.

So you can expect me to have a couple drinks and get all philosophical more often now, as that seems to be the shit people want. I do hope you're one of them, and will contribute in the comments.

Looking forward to chatting with you! ;)
