OMG, I love having cherry blossom pink hair! 

I washed my hair with an old purple color shampoo I had lying around from when I had dark purple hair.... Old. LOL But it worked its magic and I now have [very temporary] cherry blossom pink hair. 

I love it so much! It's so fun, and I think I'm going to keep doing it for a little while. It's a VERY temporary look too- the color will wash out the next time I wash my hair, unless I use the color shampoo again. It's cleaner, and easier- not a pain in the ass like actually dying your hair. For pastel colors though, you [obviously] have to have very light hair like mine, and it's not going to make much of a difference on darker hair. It's actually made for sprucing up your [already dyed] hair. 

My grandma hates it,.... IT'S SO COOL.

I'm so happy to see warmer weather again (even if it isn't very sunny out today). I have a LOT more spring/summer clothing than I do for the colder months. 

I'm in the process of reorganizing my wardrobe, and I get so excited when I rediscover an older piece I've missed. This tank top is one of those pieces- I've had it for many years now, and altered it for a festival a few years back, with just a pair of scissors and shoelaces. 

I'm a regular MacGyver. LOL

It's a chilly and overcast spring day here in upstate NY, but still great for a hike. I love to go out and get some fresh air and exercise, and I get stir-crazy if I don't. 

When your chosen career(s) requires you to hide away in a room with a computer and a bunch of music equipment, it's especially important to make sure to get out and move around often. Right now, I spend about 5-6 hours a day at my computer (which is nothing compared to the 9+ when I collaborate with other artists in addition to my own projects). So a little cardio every day is especially needed- I do my best to stay healthy and active. 

Outfit + Easy T-Shirt DIY

I've had this t-shirt for 6-8 years now, I think. When old band tees (I have a LOT of them) start getting ragged, I usually deconstruct them in a way that fixes the problem areas, or create something entirely new. 

The easiest and most used t-shirt mod I do is simply trimming the hems off. 

The details: 

I like to cut a wide neckline (but not too wide, you'll stretch it later) so the t-shirt hangs off one shoulder. Then I trim off the hems on the sleeves, and sometimes the bottom. Don't obsess over your cutting too much- it'll even out later. 

Then you'll want to stretch the material around the edges you just cut. 

Do it a few times so it rolls up a bit. Easy!

I don't mind hiking in flipflops, honestly, as long as they're comfortable. I like the free feeling. I've had my Teva Mush Adaptos for well over a year now, and had to have put at least 150 miles on them... No joke. They've held up incredibly well, and I really love them. 

Now that it's growing warmer again, I'm trying to get outside regularly and get back in shape. I'm not much of a runner, but I love to go out walking with friends. I especially like finding new things to climb on. It's the kid in me, I guess. There are some things you just never grow out of. 

I've mentioned it before- I have a lot of excess energy I need to burn off on a regular basis. I can't even begin to understand how people can sit around all the time. And really, why would you want to sit on your ass all the time anyway? There are so many awesome things you can be doing at any given moment. 

Stop being lazy, people.

I'm so glad to finally see some warmer, sunnier weather! 

I'm considering this the official start of another year- I can go outside and the NY weather doesn't make me hate life now.. It's awesome to get out and walk. 

My goal for the day: BEAT ON SHIT. 

Life is good. 

Now that the weather is getting warmer, I can go out and record new sound samples more often. I love finding new noises to use in my music. And, just beating stuff. LOL
