Outfit + Easy T-Shirt DIY

What I'm wearing:

I've had this t-shirt for 6-8 years now, I think. When old band tees (I have a LOT of them) start getting ragged, I usually deconstruct them in a way that fixes the problem areas, or create something entirely new. 

The easiest and most used t-shirt mod I do is simply trimming the hems off. 

The details: 

I like to cut a wide neckline (but not too wide, you'll stretch it later) so the t-shirt hangs off one shoulder. Then I trim off the hems on the sleeves, and sometimes the bottom. Don't obsess over your cutting too much- it'll even out later. 

Then you'll want to stretch the material around the edges you just cut. 

Do it a few times so it rolls up a bit. Easy!

Today was a beautiful, however rainy, day in NY.. much warmer than it's been- 45 degrees. Such a nice break away from the cold and heavy snow! And tomorrow is supposed to be even nicer! 

I haven't worn this skirt for quite a while now, so it was fun to pull out of my closet.

The days are growing even colder now, and it's time to wear extra layers and a heavier jacket. Tomorrow, we're supposed to see our first (..i don't want to say it..) snow flurries of the year. Hopefully it'll at least hold off until after the Zombie Ball Saturday night...

Hi, I'm Raivyn dK, an industrial musician/producer, paranormal investigator, amateur photographer, and tattoo shop manager. I get a lot of questions about my style and the products I use, and I think now would be a great time to start blogging about it all.

I'll be posting photos of various outfits and talking about my favorite beauty products. I stopped dying my hair fairly recently, after 9 years of doing so. I have also switched over to mostly natural beauty products, which has made quite a difference in the health of my skin.

I would also like to state that I am a vegetarian, strictly for the health benefits. I do not condone preaching or intolerance of any diet choice.
