Yesterday Gary and I went on a long hike [about 17 miles overall] to Newtown Battlefield State Park, founded to commemorate the Battle of Newtown [1779], in the American Revolutionary War. 

Here I am, standing next to Sullivan's Monument, which is HUGE! 

What better way to celebrate Memorial Day weekend than to hike and grill veggie burgers at a historical site?

Probably the most random and ridiculous outfit I've worn in a while. I believe in clashing patterns- there is nothing wrong with stripes and leopard print. LOL Wear what makes you happy.

I finally got ahold of my temporary doctor today (it was rough having to wait all weekend) and he switched me over to Skelaxin (Metaxalone 800mg), which is a muscle relaxer. At least this stuff actually relaxes my muscles, rather than cause intense spasms (Robaxin sucked!). It doesn't take the pain away, but it definitely helps the tension. It's some relief, and better than none. 

I have a physical therapy appointment in 2 days, and really don't know what to expect, but hopefully this lady can help me.

Happy May! 

I've been wearing very minimal makeup lately, since right now I hurt too much to care. A little powder, bronzer, shimmery nude eyeshadow, and mascara.  That's it! 

Since I started using Vitamin C serums, I don't feel so ashamed to be bare-faced in public. I used to refuse to go anywhere without some sort of makeup, but these serums are working miracles on my skin, and I feel good about it now. :)
